Abstract
ABSTRACT
In the modern era of technology, applications and virtual simulations have become a
primary focus, particularly in the context of military training. The objective of this research is
to develop VRpasgat as an effective training alternative for Kopasgat soldiers, including real-
time scoring to assess the shooting abilities of military personnel directly. VRpasgat, a defense
simulation application, is constructed by applying the Agile-Scrum method in the software
engineering process. Agile is a method for developing software with the principle of iterative
and incremental processes according to needs. The scrum method is an approach that focuses
on collaborative work, adaptation, and flexibility. Each stage of scrum has a time constraint,
providing the opportunity for researchers to review or modify activities at each stage. The
application is built using Unity 3D and the C# programming language, with Firebase support
as the database and Photon PUN2 (Photon Unity Networking) for multiplayer features.
VRpasgat allows Kopasgat soldiers to train individually or in teams in a realistic virtual
environment. With features such as scenario selection, weather, difficulty levels, and team
modes, soldiers can design exercises according to their needs. Additionally, the integrated
scoring system enables monitoring of soldiers' progress in training and helps improve shooting
skills. The application also facilitates viewing leaderboards, adjusting settings, and providing
guidance to soldiers. Moreover, the database system connected to the website allows
monitoring of training results. VRpasgat has the potential to be an effective tool in military
training, enhancing the readiness of soldiers to face real-world situations. This research
successfully achieves its goals by integrating an effective scoring system, providing real-time
feedback, and offering flexible training alternatives for Kopasgat soldiers.
